Friday 20th of July 2018
The municipality of Rondôlandia, in the State of Mato Grosso (BR), decided to make the 24th July the day of the Servant of God Ezekiel Ramin, a Comboni missionary, who must be considered for the entire population and in all respects the day of his memory: not a working day, therefore, but a holiday. It is a significant measure especially if we consider that on 22nd July an ecological pilgrimage will take place (Romaria das Terras and das Águas), which will be made to coincide with the 3rd Ezekiel Ramin pilgrimage and will end at the place of his martyrdom that took place on 24th July 1985.

The event will be attended by delegations from all over the State of Rondônia. An incentive therefore that comes also from the world of the laity who recognises in this confrere of ours an authoritative witness of faith and an unconditional gift of self for the poor.
