The 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the 7th Session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the parties (CMP7) to the Kyoto Protocol, will be held from 28 November to 9 December 2011 in Durban, South Africa.

The Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SACBC) Justice and Peace will organize buses that will travel to Durban for the weekend of the 25-27 November 2011. They will depart from different locations in South Africa (Polokwane, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Mafikeng, Kimberley, Aliwal North and Cape Town).

All buses will arrive in Durban by the morning of the 25th of November in order to welcome the cyclists. The departure time will be determined accordingly. All will participate in toxic and green tours on the 26th and in a multi-faith COP 17 rally on the 27th. The buses will return from Durban on the evening of the 27 November. People of all faiths are invited to apply to participate by sending the application form to the SACBC Justice and Peace.
