We keep praying for those places that are facing conflicts and wars around the world. We thank God that the first ship with grain was able to leave the Black Sea port of Odesa, Ukraine. We join Pope Francis prayers to continue praying for this six month cruel war. [JIPC Roma]
Let’s pray for Sierra Leone, where at least 12 people were killed during the protests which turned violent last week. People took to the streets to claim for better economic conditions and better government measures to control rising prices.
We also pray for Kenya’s election that took place last week and there are not yet results about it. Although there is less tension in this election, the counting process is a worry and the expected votes can raise the prospect of unrest. The role of young people in these contexts is crucial, since they are building their present and future. This new generation of activists is needed to change the inequalities, democracy and climate change challenges.
