After being confronted with certain problems that were handicapping the survival and continuity of the mission in Sudan, Daniel Comboni developed The Plan for the Regeneration of Africa. The plan develops strategies to take on the training of African leaders who in turn will continue the training of their brothers and sisters: “Save Africa through Africa“.

Suor Espérance Bimiriyo, già Provinciale delle Comboniane, parla del suo Paese assediato da tensioni post elettorali: “La gente è senza lavoro, le strade non sono a posto, il governo deve sempre rispondere all’emergenza della guerra”. Insiste sull'urgenza di ripartire dalla ricerca del bene per tutti, in un territorio con enormi interessi economici per l'accaparramento dei minerali. Ricorda il monito del Papa a Kinshasa e rimarca: “La gente deve avere qualcosa sulla tavola ogni giorno”. [Vatican News]

La comunità delle suore Comboniane presente a Gerusalemme Est opera quotidianamente a fianco delle popolazioni beduine che vivono nel Deserto di Giuda, nella totale precarietà, senza diritti, in povertà estrema. Sono tante le realtà israeliane e internazionali che le supportano in quest’opera di accompagnamento fraterno e nella creazione di quei ponti che oggi sembrano in pericolo. AMECEA bishops Seminar in Dar Comboni, Cairo

From the 4th to the 10th of December 2023, Dar Comboni Institute in Cairo in collaboration with the Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) organized a Seminar for 14 Bishops from the AMECEA region. The bishops who attended this seminar came from Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi. Two members of the Aid to the Church in Need, Mr. Tony W. Zender and Mr. Reinhard Backes, were present throughout the seminar.
