The Bishop of Milan, in his Address to his City in the Basilica of St Ambrose, invites us to live the Jubilee Year ‘Today’ starting from the feelings of the people, among which he identifies as a common denominator ‘Tiredness’, hence the meaning he gives to the Jubilee: ‘Let the people, the land and the city rest’ and rest a little you too!

Todo empezó en la Biblioteca de la Universidad, en Barcelona, con una revista que le llamó la atención y que le hizo conocer la labor misionera. Como estudiante de enfermería, su deseo era ser cooperante, pero el Señor quería más, le pedía la vida entera, y ella se dejó llevar.

Mgr. Christian Carlassare, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Bentiu in South Sudan, has reminded the leaders in the country of their critical role of fostering nonviolent approaches to conflict resolution and promoting peace in society. In his speech at a peace dialogue that was organized to explore ways to reconcile warrying communities that are served by the Diocese, Mgr. I missionari comboniani sono la Congregazione missionaria con la maggiore presenza tra i popoli di pastori semi-nomadi (“pastoralisti”) dell'Africa orientale, spaziando dall’Uganda al Sud Sudan, al Kenya e all’Etiopia. Sono stati presenti tra questi popoli per molte decadi e hanno accumulato molte esperienze in questo ambito della missione. [combonimission.net]
