Laudato Si’ European Lent 2024: “Stop and listen”

We share with you the “Lent Calendar 2024” that the Laudato Si Movement have prepared for each region and in different languages. Lent is a special season for reflection and action through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Laudato Si’ Lent 2024: Europe campaign
“Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:9). Lent is a special season for reflection and action through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, so this year we’ll live it more profoundly by focusing on the theme Stop and listen. Stop and listen, because we are called to do so during the desert time of lent. This theme can remind us of the devotion of the Angelus and the biblical tradition of the Sabbath. It is above all a way to start or deepen our ecological conversion.
Laudato Si’ Lent 2024 day by day. What is in the calendar?
Every Sunday, the calendar will propose a meditation on the Gospel. Every weekday, a small reflection or image will be offered to “stop and listen” for a few minutes at a fixed time each day (we suggest that you set an alarm at noon). Every week, the reflections will be focused on a different theme to explore some dimensions of the ecological challenges we’re facing in Europe.
