Fr Gabriele Ferrari underlines the perspectives of mission as stated in the Encyclical letter of Pope Francis Evangelii Gaudium. The author points out some features of a “Church which goes forth” described by the Pope, such as personal testimony - as the Pontiff says, “the Church grows not for proselytizing, but for attraction” - dialogue as a style of evangelization and the commitment to inculturation especially in the world of the poor. The Pope emphasizes the importance of a plurality of approaches to mission, the result of a healthy inculturation of the Gospel. Finally, the author highlights what are the consequences of such proposals for a Missionary Institute. [See attachment, please, in Italian].
