The German-speaking Province (DSP) appoints a new provincial bursar

The provincial and his counsellors in January, 2012, appointed Brother Hans Bayer (photo on the left) to be the new provincial bursar. Before his return in the DSP in 2011, Bro. Hans worked for a number of years in Ecuador and for about 18 years in Brazil Nordeste, many of which spent as bursar of this province.

His predecessor was Bro. Bernhard Hengl, who had been provincial bursar for 17 years in the DSP. Fr. Bernhard has been appointed to South Sudan, the youngest nation in Africa, born on 9 July 2011. He will coordinate the administration of the seven dioceses of South Sudan.
