Dear Provincials and Delegates,
Warm greetings from Rome.

The people of Venezuela are currently going through a time of particular suffering. In addition to the social and economic hardships that have marked the life of the country for many years, the dramatic consequences of the recent earthquake have caused numerous casualties, widespread destruction, and an increasing need for humanitarian assistance.

As General Council, we wish to express our closeness, our prayers, and our concrete solidarity with all those affected by this tragedy.

For this reason, we are promoting an Institute-wide solidarity collection as a sign of fraternal communion and sharing with those who are enduring this difficult trial. We are well aware that each Circumscription faces its own challenges, needs, and difficulties. Nevertheless, we are convinced that even a small contribution, offered generously and in a spirit of communion, can become a meaningful sign of closeness and hope for the affected communities.

Circumscriptions wishing to participate in this initiative may do so through the General Treasurer's Office by indicating the amount they would like to have charged. The funds collected will be used to meet the most urgent needs of the affected communities.

We sincerely thank in advance all the Provinces and Delegations that will join in this gesture of fraternity. We entrust the people of Venezuela to the Lord and to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, asking that she may bring comfort to those who suffer, hope to those who are being tested, and strength to all those engaged in relief and reconstruction efforts.

Fraternally,
The General Council
