All of Sudan remained without phone or internet network last 4th of February. At the time of writing, only some networks have started partially, only in Port Sudan. For us this means that we have no way of hearing of our two communities of Kosti and El Obeid, as well as practically all other parishes in the two dioceses of Sudan. The lack of communication may cause difficulty in the provision of goods. We keep praying for peace, as the war has by now passed the 300-days landmark.

Cairo (Egypt): Shabaab Comboni (Comboni Youth)
Last 25th of January, some fifty youth coming from our different parishes in Cairo have met for the first meeting of Shabaab Comboni. The goal is to accompany these youth in the search of the will of God in their lives, to make Comboni and his charism known, to create awareness about mission and vocation discernment. Journeying towards this goal, they have started to meet in order to prepare a first Comboni Youth Gathering. The journey includes a meeting every two weeks with a meditation on passages of the gospel of Mark, missionary life witnesses and sharings from different people and realities.  It will conclude in summer 2024 with a missionary camp.
