Taking the occasion of Fr. Sirak’s Priestly ordination it was organized missionary animation in collaboration with the Comboni Sisters. On 16th January 2022 on the Parish of Kidanemihret Sembel where Fr. Sirak was Ordained priest, during the Eucharistic celebration missionary animation was done highlighing the missionary vocation of St. Daniel Comboni, to the faithful of the parish and in particular to the youth.

From 17th-26th of January 2022, a group of Comboni Frs and Comboni sisters went in the eparchy of Keren at the home- parish of Fr. Sirak to animate. The program was set with the parish priest and the parish council. It was a nice experience. The parish priest and the faithful appreciated the ten - day animation done by the Comboni family, that reminded the faithful when the Combonis (Fr. Alazar) stayed in waliku and Fr. Sirak started his vocation journy.

In his homily, His Grace Archbishop Menghesteab Tesfamariam underlined the responsibilities of the priesthood: to preach the Word of God, to nourish the souls by the sacraments and to administer and look after the flock. The celebration concluded with lunch and entertainment at the Delegation house in the presence of His Grace Archbishop Menghesteab Tesfamariam, Comboni Family, Fr. Sirak’s parents and relatives and invited guests. At the end Fr. Habtu Teklay Tiluq the Delegate Superior thanked God for the priestly gift, to our Institute and Church. He thanked the Archbishop for the service, he thanked Sirak’s parents for their generosity, and all those who collaborated in the celebration. Finally he wished to Fr. Sirak God’s abundant blessings in his missionary service.

We thank the Good Lord for the great gift of the priesthood which he granted to our Delegation. “The Lord has done great things for us; and we are happy” (Ps 126:3).
