Every year, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Comboni Missionaries in North America are able to support numerous mission projects throughout the world. Last year, Comboni Missionaries Fr. Juan Diego and Fr. Aubert Gamende of San Luis Parish in Guatemala requested help purchasing a truck which is vitally important in helping transport patients. Below is an update from Fr. Aubert.

“I am pleased to greet you, hoping that health, peace and love are present in your day to day. On behalf of the San Luis Parish Clinic, we are infinitely grateful for the help provided for the execution of the project ‘Vehicle to transport those distant from a medical center and provide them with primary health care.’

Without your support, this would not have been possible. The purchase of the vehicle was made on January 20. By having this vehicle, the clinic staff will be able to move more independently to the communities of the municipality of San Luis, thus benefiting many people, and also facilitating the transportation of medicines that help alleviate their ailments.

And may these words of gratitude be an encouragement for this wonderful work of contributing to the development of other countries. We are pleased to be part of the team that seeks the well-being of others, committing ourselves to manage, in the best possible way, the help you have sent us with good hearts, taking it for the benefit of the poorest, reducing the severity of their illnesses and thus being signs of hope in their lives.

We are pleased to sign here, wishing you success and blessings in the work you do. May Saint Daniel Comboni continue to intercede for all of us.”
