Il sacrificio di questa missionaria ha implicato non solo la fine della sua vocazione religiosa ma anche di ogni speranza umana. Rimase infatti incatenata per tutta la vita alla sua condizione di moglie forzata.

O português Pedro Nascimento [na foto] está há 16 meses junto dos Gumuz, na Etiópia, integrando a equipa dos Leigos Missionários Combonianos (LMC), ao serviço da população local. “Foi uma decisão muito pensada”, refere à Agência ECCLESIA o missionário alentejano, natural do Ervedal (Concelho de Avis).

Nel 2020, anno che i missionari comboniani hanno dedicato alla ministerialità, le direzioni generali della famiglia comboniana (consacrati, secolari e laici) hanno deciso di pubblicare un libro nel quale vengono raccontate alcune storie di vita vissuta nella ministerialità sociale.

This book brings together a variety of missionary experiences in the field of social pastoral. The material will be useful for the reflection that will be made during the Comboni Social Forum on Social Ministeriality (CSFSM), to be held from 12 to 16 December 2020, in Rome, at the General House of the Comboni Missionaries. The General Council thanks all who have contributed to it. For the time being, the book is available in Italian, English, French and Spanish. See attached the electronic version. (Video)

I take this opportunity to present this new Hand-book to the Institute and especially to our houses of formation, according to the instructions of the General Council to the General Secretariat of the Mission (SGM). I request you to welcome this Manual as a valid tool to facilitate your reflection on the theme of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC). After studying the Manual, send your opinions to Rome explaining how you found it and also giving practical suggestions on how best to include this reflection in your programme and draw profit for your formation and missionary service.
