A residential seminar entitled: "New wine into new wineskins " (Mk 2, 22) “The New Evangelization" - Europe, the United States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand has been hosted at the Ad Gentes Center of the Divine Word Missionaries in Nemi (Rome).

The seminar was organized by SEDOS (Service of Documentation and Studies on Mission) which is a 'forum' open to all Institutes of consecrated life, ready to deepen their understanding of the global mission. 122 people of various Missionary institutes participated in this seminar.

The residential seminar began April 23 and ended on 27. Its aim was to study the cultural contexts of the regions identified for the new evangelization (Europe, Australia, New Zealand and USA); understand what the Missionary Institutes were doing in such new contexts, how their identity vis-à-vis the situations of new evangelization was challenged and how to announce the Gospel  in the context of new evangelization.

Some specialists coming from different parts of the planet presented their contributions . Two contributions have been added on this website: Sr. Mary Motte, director of the Mission Resource Centre of North Providence, Rhode Island (USA) spoke on evangelisation in the United States and the journey of the American Church since Vatican II. Fr Enzo Biemmi proposed an interpretation of the Synod on the New Evangelisation.
