Ten years after St. Daniel Comboni was declared a saint, the Comboni Family in Italy (Comboni Missionaries, Sisters, Secular Institute, CLM) has prepared a booklet on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Comboni’s canonization (October 5, 2003). Find the text as an attachment.

The booklet has the following table of contents: Letter of presentation; Message; Icon; Salt, light and hope; Possible initiatives; Books and subsidies. In the message of the booklet we read: “In this time of new evangelization, the holiness of Comboni is a living message which generates new missionary enthusiasm in the Comboni family and in the Church, and invites us to increase the knowledge and the experience of the Founder, that they may result in fidelity to the charism and to the mission.”

In the Consulta of June 2013 the General Council wrote: “St. Daniel Comboni was canonized on October 5, 2003. This year is the 10th anniversary. St. Daniel Comboni is someone who by now belongs to the whole Church. Therefore, we invite all the communities to solemnize this event together with the people, taking the occasion to make more deeply known the person and the spirit of our Founder.”
