Another son, a member of the “Comboni Fraternity”, as we are being called in Kabale diocese (Uganda), was ordained priest, Fr. Archangelo Ayebare born on June 13, 1980, at Mishundo village in Maziba parish. He has been ordained by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira of Kabale diocese.

Gratitude for the excellent preparation goes to the “nephews” of the Comboni Missionaries, the Apostles of Jesus, who are the caretakers of Maziba parish. Their involvement in the preparation was done with a heart filled with love and communion,
a real family spirit.

November 23rd and 24th were extraordinarily sunny days, not only because it stopped raining in Kigezi, a rare change in the month of November when it is wet, foggy, cold and rainy, but because the hills were covered by a multitude of faithful flocking the hills to witness and celebrate the ordination of a Comboni missionary.

It was a joyful celebration for Maziba parish, after ten full years since the last priestly ordination. This was indeed a day filled with blessings that saw a gift given to us as members of the “Comboni Fraternity”. The occasion was graced by a multitude of Christians, twenty eight priests and many religious sisters.

The Comboni missionaries physically present was a visible sign of our desire to animate and through this occasion invite others to follow suit. Our troupe was headed by Fr. Romano Rokani Dada with Sr. Sabina Amaguru (both vocations promoters), Fr. Paolino Tomaino, Fr. Dempsey Sean, Fr. Gakirage Jean Bosco, Fr. Maku Joseph, Fr. Nambasi John Bosco, Sr. Yrenia, Br. Andama Richard, Sch. Jjumba James Patrick, Sch. Nguonzi Deogratias, the postulant Turinawe Vincent who is a cousin of Fr. Archangelo and the brother of Fr. Hategek’Imana Sylvester.

Your are a priest forever of the order of Melkizedeck.

Fr. Archangelo Ayebare will continue his pastoral and missionary ministry in Rushere parish in Kiruhura District. We wish him a fruitful ministry blessed by God and by Christ, the Good Shepherd
and the Missionary of the Father
