Visit of Fr. Tesfaye and Fr. Jeremias to the Comboni scholasticate of Pietermaritzburg in South Africa

From April 6th, 2022 evening to April 10th, 2022 the community of the Scholasticate at Pietermaritzburg hosted our Major Superiors Fr. Tesfaye Tadesse (in the picture) and Fr. Jeremias dos Santos Martins. The visitors from Rome were accompanied by Fr. Jude Eugene Burgers, the Provincial Superior of South Africa.

The visitors had an intensive lived-in experience sharing the daily life and activities of our community and meeting the confreres individually and as a community. We gratefully appreciate their presence and encouraging message which will help us to keep Jesus Christ at the centre of our life and formation, to deepen our vocational identity as well as our sense of belonging to the Comboni Institute. The whole Parish community of St. Joan of Arc to which our Scholasticate is attached also warmly welcomed our Major Superiors who joined them in the devotion of the Way of the Cross and the celebration of Palm Sunday.
