With Easter joy and deep gratitude to the Risen Lord, the Delegation of Asia was united to celebrate the Perpetual Profession held on April 15, 2023, and the Diaconate Ordination held on April 16, 2023, of Rev. Benjosef Carlos Dapilos Raposa. The diaconate ordination was chaired by the laying on of hands by your Excellency Honesto Ongtioco, D.D., bishop of the Diocese of Cubao, MM, Philippines. In his perpetual profession statement Benjosef called attention to Mary’s words “Let it be done according to Your word” (Lk 1:38).  He added: “These words uttered by the Blessed Virgin Mary were my original inspiration in my vocational journey. Despise her initial fears, she gave her whole-hearted ‘yes’, one that changed the course of our salvation history. […] therefore, I can only say ‘Thank You, Lord’, and ‘Here I am’.

With the participation of Benjosef’s mother, his brothers and sisters, relatives, our MCCJ’s confreres, postulants, novices, our friends, and benefactors, we were able to experience in both the Perpetual Profession and the Diaconate Ordination one-to-one, a celebration fill with many graces and blessings on behalf of the generosity and courage shown by Benjosef in answering God’s call and fulfilling His vocation and mission.

May the Risen Lord, our Lady of Peñafrancia venerated in Naga City, Bicol (native land of Benjosef), and St. Daniel Comboni guide, protect, and bless his missionary life. Praise the Lord, Alleluia, Alleluia!
