Comboni Missionaries’ Statement on the Gaza Tragedy

We, Comboni missionaries, express with deep sorrow our grief over the ongoing tragedy affecting the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip. Every life lost, every wounded child, every shattered family is an open wound for all of humanity. We firmly condemn all forms of violence against civilians, wherever it occurs. [Photo pixabay]
No justification can override the right to life, dignity, and peace. We join the silent cry of those who have lost everything but still hope for justice. Solidarity is not merely a gesture — it is a concrete commitment to a different future.
We call for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, and full access to humanitarian aid. Each day without peace is a failure of the international community and a wound to our shared humanity. As children of God and brothers and sisters to all, we cannot remain indifferent in the face of such suffering.
Gaza deserves life, not destruction; it longs for peace, not war.
