The 2020 (32nd) Annual General Assembly of AEFJN and our first-ever virtual AGM, took place on 12 November 2020, with the theme, “Strengthening Networking in Africa”. Oggi si celebra la Giornata mondiale contro la tratta. Suor Gabriella Bottani (nella foto) sarà all’Onu con una mostra di foto sull’impegno di 2mila religiose accanto alle vittime. Non sta mai ferma suor Gabriella Bottani, missionaria comboniana, da quando nel 2015 è diventata coordinatrice di Talitha Kum, il network delle religiose che in tutto il mondo combattono contro la tratta di persone. Gabriella Bottani, Italian Comboni Sister, international coordinator of the World Network of Consecrated Life against Trafficking (Talitha Kum) received yesterday in Washington the prize “Hero against Trafficking in Persons”. The award ceremony was presided over by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the U.S. Department of State, Washington, D.C.
AEFJN: Antennae Meeting in Namur

The European Antennae met in Namur (Belgium) from May 10-12, 2019. Six European antennae and the Executive were represented at the meeting. Father Arlindo Pinto took part in the meeting. In a very open and honest manner the participants had the opportunity to exchange opinions, experiences and look for the best way to understand the mission of AEFJN in the service of economic justice in the relations between Africa and Europe.

A meeting of the AEFJN Antena Kenya took place at the premises of the RSCK (Men Religious Conference of Kenya). After seeing some questions of interest about the World today, Europe´s relationship to Africa, the coming European Elections, some Social Movements, and the way to organize the participation in the next Meeting in Uganda, with a representative of the Africa Europe Faith Justice Network (AEFJN) at Brussels; on the motto „think globally, act locally“; some reflections were then done regarding the Kenya Situation.
