On May 1 we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the foundation of the Parish of St. Joseph the Worker. The church’s modern architecture is very unusual compared to the other, more ancient churches of Macau. Above the altar, in the center of the huge mosaic in the form of a cross, there is the image of the Risen Christ ascending to Heaven, with open arms.

In a historic step, the Hanoi government has invited Pope Francis to visit the country. We talk with Mons. Nguyen Anh Tuan, bishop of Ha Tinh “New climate, trusting us more”. “The people were very happy to receive Pope Francis’ letter. It was the first time he addressed the faithful directly and they are now they are waiting for the opportunity to welcome him to Vietnam. We have wanted to invite him for several years. La revista misionera comboniana MUNDO NEGRO publica este mes de marzo el testimonio vocacional de un joven misionero comboniano vietnamita, Tran Minh Thong [en la foto]. Como el mismo relata, siendo estudiante de Secundaria cayó en una fuerte adicción al juego: «Gastaba el dinero, desperdiciaba el tiempo, descuidaba mi salud y me fui perdiendo en el mundo virtual. Durante esos años no me importaba mi futuro, solo pensaba en jugar y en estar en Internet. Mi vida no tenía sentido ni motivación.»
