He is no longer “the same person who left” in 2017, Simone Parimbelli, 38 years old, Comboni Lay Missionary of the Diocese of Bergamo, who returned in September 2020 from Mongoumba in Central African Republic. Because, as he says with light in his eyes, “the mission opens the heart and the horizon and being outgoing changes you: from the conception of the missionary style to the relationship with time and space, with oneself and with God”.

Via Sacra de D. Jesús Ruiz, comboniano: "Morremos antes do tempo"

A fundação Ajuda à Igreja que Sofre (AIS) acaba de lançar uma Via Sacra com textos do Dom Jesús Ruiz Molina, bispo auxiliar de Bangassou, na República Centro-Africana, na qual denuncia que “vale pouco a vida em África”. “Morre-se antes do tempo, e vive-se em condições tão precárias que muitas vezes me pergunto se existe vida antes da morte”, afirma o prelado. «Nella mia lista di “donne di coraggio” ci sono tante mie consorelle e donne che difendono la vita, che hanno un’esistenza più donata e generosa della mia. Sento vero il principio africano di ubuntu: “io sono perché noi siamo”. Questo premio non è qualcosa di personale, lo abbiamo tessuto insieme. Io sono un ponte, per riceverlo e passarlo alle altre». Lo dice con umiltà e anche con un po’ d’imbarazzo Alicia Vacas Moro (nella foto), suora missionaria comboniana che l’8 marzo 2021 ha ricevuto il “Premio internazionale Donne di Coraggio”.

A religiosa espanhola Alicia Vacas Moro, missionária Comboniana, recebeu o Prémio internacional ‘Mulher de Coragem’ 2021 pelo seu trabalho no Médio Oriente. “É uma surpresa porque há muitas mulheres a fazer coisas maravilhosas; Às vezes, um prémio é realmente sobre uma comunidade maior, então partilho com outras pessoas”, disse a irmã Alicia Vacas Moro ao sítio online ‘Global Sisters Repor’, recordando as cinco religiosas Combonianas que também trabalham na Cisjordânia.

Fr. Renzo Carraro, a Comboni missionary working in Manila (Philippines), has gathered in 10 booklets a selection of the best part of his articles of 20 years of collaboration with the Comboni missionary magazine World Mission. “Now – writes Fr. Renzo – I make available these booklets, which I consider not devoid of interest, to those who are interested. Over the last years, Father Renzo Carraro has prepared a series of reflections and resources for meditation and study of the Bible. Some booklets are made up of original little reflections that were occasioned by preparing Retreats or Formation Courses. They represent 20 years of experience. They are simple and without pretenses, but they can suggest some ideas or lessons which can be handy in the formation work. Others booklets could be called “Study Notes” on behalf of the Bible Study Groups. [See attachments]
