Giuliano was born at Lavis, in the province of Trent. Having completed middle school at Trent (1941-45) and at Brescia (1945-47), he joined the novitiate at Venegono. In 1949 he took his first vows in Sunningdale where he had been sent for the second year of his novitiate and where he completed his philosophical studies. The English confreres say he quickly learned English very well. When he returned to Italy, he studied theology at Venegono. He was ordained priest in Milan on 26 June, 1955.

That same year, he was assigned to Asmara, in Eritrea, where he worked mostly in teaching.

He spent a year in Rebbio (Como) in mission promotion and in caring for elderly confreres. He was then sent back to Sunningdale for a further two years as bursar.

He was then assigned to the province of Uganda where he spent twelve years in ministry at the parishes of Aber, Kigumba and Nyantonzi. He was sent to Kigumba after the tragic death of two confreres of the community who were killed by poison gas given off by the refuse in the rubbish pit (dumped in a disused well), while they were trying to save a kitchen worker who had fallen into it. He was assigned to the London Province where he spent six years as formator in the Elstree scholasticate.

In 1986, he was again assigned to Uganda. He spent a period of fifteen years at Angal, in West Nile, in particular as director of the catechetical centre. This service is vital for the missions where the catechist is the right arm of the priests, being the person who lives among the people, knows the language and the local culture.

After spending six months in Verona for treatment, he returned to Uganda, this time to the diocese of Lira: first in the parish of Aduku (four years), then at Lira-Ngeta and lastly at Bala.

In 2011, at the age of 81 years, he was permanently assigned to Italy. He ministered for two years at the Verona Rectory and then went for treatment to the Centre for the Elderly and Sick Confreres. He died in Verona on 15 February, 2015.
