Everything seems set for the August 11 installation of Bishop Christian Carlassare, who was appointed pioneer Local Ordinary of the newly erected Catholic Diocese of Bentiu in South Sudan. In an invitation to the installation ACI Africa obtained, the Bentiu Pastoral region of the Catholic Diocese of Malakal from which Bentiu was carved shares the activities lined up ahead of the installation celebration. Campamento Aguiluchos: «Una misión a través del tiempo»

Cada verano el grupo infantil Aguiluchos que acompañan los Misioneros Combonianos en España organiza un campamento para disfrutar y crecer en valores cristianos y misioneros a través de dinámicas y juegos muy divertidos, excursiones, ratos de piscina y regulares momentos de oración. Este año el campamento tiene lugar del 22 al 28 de julio en la localidad de Daimiel con la participación de 27 niños y niñas procedentes de diferentes lugares de España. [Hozana]

On Saturday, June 23 this year, during the meeting of the Combonian family in Krakow, Paweł and Iza ceremonially joined the movement of the Comboni Lay Missionaries (CLM). The event took place before the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, loved by the founder of the congregation, Daniel Comboni. He wrote many times in his letters to always have “eyes fixed on Christ”, these words are the foundation of a missionary’s life. [CLM Poland]

Siempre asociamos el verano con el tiempo para el descanso y la desconexión, y es que, después de todo un curso repleto de actividades pastorales también el Señor nos invita a cada uno de nosotros a ir a un lugar desierto para descansar y reponer fuerzas. En este contexto de descanso, los LMC de España celebraremos nuestra Asamblea anual en el mes de agosto. En ella, además de celebrar la vida como familia, abordaremos diversos temas en torno a nuestra presencia misionera como laicos misioneros combonianos.

The Year of Prayer in preparation for the Church’s 2025 Jubilee Year provides an opportunity for the people of God in Mozambique to put their lives in order and restore justice, the Local Ordinary of the Catholic Archdiocese of Beira has said. Speaking at the conclusion of the 28th Theological Week in his Metropolitan See, Archbishop Claudio Dalla Zuanna said that peace and social justice in Mozambique “goes beyond the simple silencing of weapons.” [ACI Africa]
