Fr. Fasil Kebede Eshete, a young Comboni Missionary from the vicariate of Meki in Ethiopia, shares his experience of mission in Kenya where he has been evangelizing for the last ten years, since 2013. Fr. Fasil made his studies of Theology in South Africa and after two years of missionary life in the mission of Qillenso, among the Guji of Ethiopia, he was ordained as a priest on November 3rd, 2012. The pioneer Local Ordinary of the Catholic Diocese of Bentiu that was recently erected in South Sudan has urged the people of God in his Episcopal See to foster collaboration, working together towards the building of a future characterized with hope. In his homily during the Sunday, August 11 installation Eucharistic celebration, Bishop Christian Carlassare called for a renewed commitment to unity and solidarity. Domenica 4 agosto a soli 61 anni è morto all’ospedale Dogta-Lafiè (da qualche tempo lottava contro un tumore), mons. Nicodème Barrigah-Benissan, dal 2019 arcivescovo della capitale del Togo, Lomé. Nominato da papa Francesco, succedeva a mons. Denis Komivi Amuzu-Dzakpah. Badou Ifédoun Ephrem Judicaël, Comboni missionary, and Justin Nougnui, Comboni lay missionary, took the road to Cotonou, the capital of the Republic of Benin. Carissimi tutti, è da un po’ di tempo che non ci sentiamo e siamo qui a darvi un po’ di notizie come tanti di voi continuano a richiedere e ci scusami del ritardo. Le giornate qui sono molto dense e non nascondiamo il fatto che trascorrono talmente veloci, con una profondità e pienezza, che non ci rendiamo nemmeno conto che è iniziato il mese di luglio ed è da un po’ di tempo che non scriviamo.
